Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift is a pop/country songwriter and singer for more than 20 years. The stories she tells of her romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love has earned her the acclaim of many during the 21st Century. Swift began to develop an interest in musical instruments as a young person and soon progressed from performing in kids' shows, to making her debut in the front of a crowd. Swift in 2011, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The year after that she began to write her own songs. Swift had taken her ideas from Shania's music and that of The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm of music from the country genre, composed her original songs to reflect her experience with alienation. Swift's family relocated to Tennessee from Pennsylvania when she was thirteen so she could spend more time exploring the country music label in Nashville.
